"New element connection requires exit hole to be cut through back of oven as holes for original element ( 40yr old ) did not line up cover plate attached to element seals off old and new holes. the small metal brackets attached to element are used as legs to support front side of element as there is no point of contact with bottom tray due to difference in element design shape."
